Description: The renewal of the biometric fingerprint and ID verification services on a “month to month” from Afiswitch (Pty) Ltd. The deviation is for a period of 5 years from 1 Jan 2024 to 31 December 2028. The reason for the “month to month” renewal for a period of 5 years is because: - SAPS has not yet issued a tender for a new service provider to have sole access to the SAPS criminal database - the “month to month” renewal will allow SARS flexibility to transition to the new service provider at the time when SAPS awards the tender (the timing thereof is unknown at the date of this request)
